Loose Fill Insulation

Fiberglass loose fill insulation, also known as blow-in type, is a popular option for insulating homes. It is made of small, fluffy glass fibers that are blown into a building's walls or attics, providing insulation. It's designed for open installation such as an attic and closed insulation areas like sidewalls and floors. This type of insulation is favored for its versatility and easy installation process. Its affordability, high R-value, fire resistance, and environmentally friendly properties make it a popular choice. Fiberglass loose fill insulation is a cost-effective and efficient option for increasing a home's energy efficiency.

We use pneumatic equipment for getting full coverage in those hard to reach areas. When applied to the recommended specifications and thicknesses  it will ensure that your home is energy efficient with minimal heat loss. Besides thermal efficiency, it has many other benefits including:

  • Great coverage
  • Sound absorption
  • Very little settling
  • Noncombustible

Just how much insulation you need depends on where you are located. A professional can tell you if you have enough in your home. The recommended level for attic insulation in Show Low, Pinetop, Snowflake Arizona is to be properly insulated to a minimum of R-49. That comes out to about 18.5 inches deep, depending on the insulation product.

We are licensed and insured and prepared to take on any insulation job in the White Mountains! We locally cover from Pinetop, Show Low, Snowflake, Taylor, Springerville to all over the state of Arizona.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Blown fiberglass insulation fills gas and insulates hard-to-reach spaces. It helps to slow down the loss of  energy  by reducing the flow of moisture, heat, and sound through its walls.

Blown loose fill fiberglass insulation is perfect for attics since its R-value of 3.4 per inch helps keep your home naturally insulated from the top down. It also fights fungus and mold growth since the glass itself is moisture-resistant.

Attics: Can be installed up to R-70 over 1⁄2″(13mm) ceiling drywall without exceeding ceiling weight limits.

Nonconforming spaces: Insulation sprays out of the hose several feet, filling in large areas and small gaps quickly and completely.

Walls: Holes are drilled and filled with blown fiberglass, then plugged and patched.

US Insulation will check to see that the insulation is evenly distributed, that there are no low spots and the insulation reaches all the way to the eaves.

Replacing your insulation is recommended if the insulation is below the attic floor joists.
